Create a unique piece of cyanotype artwork inspired by plants. /

Cyanotype is a light-sensitive art process, sometimes called a “sun print.” Cyanotypes are known for their rich blue color. Participants will get to create a drawing from observation using transparencies and paint pens. We will expose cyanotype to UV light with the sun, then develop your unique prints using water!

Artist Bio:
Faith Williams Dyrsten is an artist and art educator who has called Colorado home her whole life. She finds inspiration in the curiosity and connection to the natural world, and can often be seen leaning over a flower trying to identify an insect. Faith was recently commissioned by the Xerces Society to create the diagram for the Colorado Native Pollinating Insect Health Study in response to the Senate Bill SB22-199, illustrating positive ways to create spaces for pollinators.
