Sand Creek Mural Festival

  • Sand Creek Regional Greenway 9450 Smith Road Denver United States (map)

The Sand Creek Mural Festival is a community celebration of the newest mural along the Sand Creek Regional Greenway’s Art Walk. The art walk features murals on the vertical wall segments that remain from the Stapleton Airport's runway tunnel system, stretching approximately 1,250 linear feet on the north and south banks of the creek.

Join us on September 16th to participate in a “paint-by-numbers” activity to help put the first coats of paint on the wall for this new mural! Come early, or stay late and enjoy food from one of Denver’s only Haitian Food Trucks and Catering Businesses (Fritay Haitian Cuisine - Food Truck & Catering (fritayfood.com)), music from DJ On Mute, a beer garden with alcoholic and non-alcoholic refreshments, and partner booths to learn more about the amazing work in the community.
