Volunteers Needed for August NPET: Saturday, August 6, 2016

May 27, 2016

NPET June 2016Join your fellow trail lovers at our August Neighborhood Partners Environmental Team (NPET) event Saturday, August 6, 2016!

NPET events take place on the first Saturday of every month (April-November) and are open to everyone!

Our next NPET event is Saturday, August 6, 2016 from 9:00-11:00 AM at Bluff Lake Nature Center, 3400 Havana Way, Denver CO. We are hoping for a BIG turnout to help us protect trees from beavers at Bluff Lake and give our new trees water and love!

Meet us at Bluff Lake Nature Center, 3400 Havana Way, Denver, CO 80238 (click here for a map), at 9:00 AM on Saturday, August 6. We’ll start the day with bagels from Einstein Bros. Bagels and coffee from Starbucks. *Thanks Einstein’s and Starbucks for these generous donations!*

We’ll spend the morning watering and providing beaver protection to riparian trees at Bluff Lake. Dress for the weather (probably hot) and bring a water bottle, sunblock, hat, insect repellent, and closed toed shoes. We’ll have a water jug for refills!

RSVPs are appreciated, but not necessary. Contact Tom Seagroves, (720) 232-4989, tseagroves@blufflake.org with any questions.

Sand Creek Regional Greenway Partnership

About the Greenway

The Sand Creek Regional Greenway is a jewel in the necklace of trails that has made Denver a national model for linked trail systems.

This 14-mile public greenway connects the High Line Canal in Aurora, Colorado with the South Platte River Greenway in Commerce City. Along the way, it passes through northeast Denver and the new Stapleton community.

The Sand Creek Regional Greenway is open every day from dawn until dusk. Runners, walkers, nature viewers, horseback riders, and leashed dogs are encouraged to enjoy the trail. We invite you to become acquainted with our wilderness in the city.
