Volunteer Work Days announced for 2019
Join us for our 2019 volunteer work days!
Last year, our volunteers did INCREDIBLE work and accomplished so much.
–1/2 mile of trail resurfaced (Star K Ranch in Aurora)
–118 trees planted (Commerce City and Aurora)
–several dozen Russian olive trees were girdled (Star K Ranch in Aurora)
–dozens of trees were caged to prevent beaver damage (Commerce City and Aurora)
–ground was prepared and native plant seeds were dispersed (Denver and Aurora)
–hundreds of milkweed “seed bombs” made (Commerce City, Aurora, Denver)
–hundreds of bags of trash and invasive weeds collected (Commerce City, Denver, Aurora)
Join the fun, meet great folks, make new friends and leave a better Sand Creek Greenway for all of us to enjoy!

April 20 Earth Day festivities (stay tuned!)
June 1 Aurora (We’ll be joined by Carl Bendorf, board member of the American Birding Association and founder of Iowa Young Birders for a brief talk on birding on the Greenway at the beginning of this work day!)
August 3 Denver
September 7 Xcel Energy Day of Service Commerce City
October 5 Denver
