Ride and Win on “Bike Your Park Day” Sept 30!

August 30, 2017

Ride your Bike on the Greenway on September 30, have a terrific time, receive some Sand Creek Greenway fun “stuff” and earn a chance to win prizes from Adventure Cycling Association including a bike and a trip to Glacier National Park!

We want to encourage folks to enjoy our Sand Creek Greenway, so we’re participating in “Bike Your Park Day” on September 30. The brainchild of our friends at Adventure Cycling Association, the day has encouraged thousands of bicyclists to ride to or ride through a park of their choice.

We’ve set up our Sand Creek Greenway “Make Your Own” Ride on Saturday, September 30 for individuals, families and friends to get out on our Sand Creek Greenway and adjoining trails such as Westerly Creek, South Platte River or High Line Conservancy Greenways in the north Denver metro area.

How does it work?

  1. Sign up on the Bike Your Park website, and include ‘Sand Creek Greenway “Make Your Own” Ride,‘ in the Ride Title field, and “Sand Creek Greenway” in the Park Name field. We’ll receive your contact information to send you some fun “stuff” from Sand Creek Greenway, including our new Meadowlark sticker; and Adventure Cycling Association will send you their “Bike Your Park” sticker AND if you do this before September 18, Adventure Cycling will enter you into a ¬†drawing for an Advocate Cycles Seldom Seen bicycle and an Amtrak trip for two, with bikes, to Glacier National Park.

We’ll be adding good things to our “stuff” pile to send to participants all during September. Stay tuned!

Register here!

2. There’s more? ¬†YES, if you take photos of your ride and post on social media with #SandCreekRide we’ll contact you and put your name in for additional drawings. And we’ll be happy to share your posts with our Greenway friends. Email us at bnobles@sandcreekgreenway.org and tell us you’ll be riding and we’ll send you more fun “stuff!”

About the Greenway

The Sand Creek Regional Greenway is a jewel in the necklace of trails that has made Denver a national model for linked trail systems.

This 14-mile public greenway connects the High Line Canal in Aurora, Colorado with the South Platte River Greenway in Commerce City. Along the way, it passes through northeast Denver and the new Stapleton community.

The Sand Creek Regional Greenway is open every day from dawn until dusk. Runners, walkers, nature viewers, horseback riders, and leashed dogs are encouraged to enjoy the trail. We invite you to become acquainted with our wilderness in the city.
