Despite the rain, sleet, snow and wind, nearly 400 runners turned up to run our 5K, 10K and half marathon courses on Sunday, April 13th. Thank you to everyone, especially our sponsors and volunteers, who helped make the race such as success! >>View Photos
We’ve had a great summer working with students from neighborhoods all along the Greenway! 278 students from the African Community Center, Commerce City Boys and Girls Club, Colfax Community Network, Lincoln Hills Teamworks, participated in over 600 hours or environmental education, career development, outdoor recreation, and service learning. >> View Photos
Each year, over 900 volunteers help out on the Greenway and our connecting open spaces through our Neighborhood Partners Environmental Team, as well as through volunteer events with our school and corporate partners. We thank you for all your hard work so far this year! » View Photos
Almost 600 people came out for our inaugural Race for Open Space walk/run and Earth Day Festival on April 20, 2013. SCRGP co-hosted the event with Bluff Lake Nature Center, and the race took place in these two beautiful open spaces. » View Photos
On 2/18/2013, Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar and Secretary of Transportation Ray LaHood joined Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper and SCRGP Executive Director Kate Kramer to cut the ribbon on the first section of the Rocky Mountain Greenway.
On 12/14/2012, John Fielder gave a presentation about his photography at the Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge. Thanks to RMANWR staff for hosting the event, and to John for donating a part of his book sales to our organization.

Over 100 volunteers came out with REI to help us clean up Sand Creek on Saturday, September 1st. In only four hours, we got A LOT accomplished!
On Sunday, August 26th 2012, the Sand Creek Regional Greenway celebrated its 10th birthday! A big thanks to everyone who came out and helped us celebrate.
